LE CIERGELOT, A REFLECTION OF THE MARNE VALLEY TERROIR
Joseph Perrier champagnes are enriched by a new collection: " Parcellaires ", dedicated to the purest, most authentic expression of the house's historic plots.
After the cuvée La Côte à Brasthe house now unveils
Le Ciergelota champagne from the eponymous parcel (cadastral reference ZD214), revealing all the richness and diversity of a unique terroir.
The miller grapes for this cuvée come from a single plot, Le Ciergelotlocated in the heart of the Marne Valley, in Verneuil. Located mid-slope and planted in 1969, the house's historic parcel, ZD214, extends over 80 ares and benefits from a moderate clay-limestone soil.
Its south-facing aspect ensures ideal ripening of the grapes, while the grassing between each row and mechanical ploughing preserve the natural balance of the soil, offering optimal conditions for the well-being of the vines.
In keeping with the values of the collection, Le Ciergelot embodies the principle of a cuvée dedicated to a single terroir, a single grape variety, a single year.
This 100% meunier cuvée is a brut nature champagne, with no dosage (0 g/L), allowing the full purity of the grapes to express themselves.
For this first edition, only 4,992 bottles and 224 magnums were produced.
